:: Application ::
-----------------------------------
Character Details
-----------------------------------
Character Name: Zaino
Class: Paladin
Level: 90
(Provide us with a link to your profile in the Armory) http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/twisting-nether/zaino/simple
Professions and Skill Level: Enchanting 610. Jewelcrafting 600.
What Elixirs/Flasks/Buff food do you use in raids to boost your performance?
I use Flask of the Warm Sun for +1000 Intellect. Mogu Fish Stew for +300 Intellect - Mana is not an issue for me on encounters so Intellect is the best option to boost my healing output.
Describe what you think you would bring to our guild if accepted. (raiding and social aspects)
I bring a solid, skilled and well geared Holy Paladin with a retribution off-spec that I can also play well. I have played Holy paladin since 2008 and I've come to know the class like the back of my hand, over the years I have developed a confidence in my own abilities. You can count on me to both listen to orders and use my own initiative when needed. On the social side of things, I like to think that I am a friendly and easy going guy that can fit into a guild easily - I like to help out where and when I can!
-----------------------------------
Character History
-----------------------------------
Previous Guilds:
Licentia proeliator - Twisting Nether
Archaic Order - Twisting Nether
Reason for Leaving:
Licentia Proeliator - People weren't showing up for raids, it ended up that we went 3 weeks with only 1 raid that was mediocre at best. I moved to Archaic Order.
Archaic Order - The raiding environment has become very negative and very toxic. People turn up to raids without wanting to be there and many of the core members have left which has meant that we have gone backwards in progress and are now wiping on bosses we previously farmed. It is not a place I want to be anymore.
When did you start this character and how long have you /played?
August 2008. 615 days played.
What encounters and raids have you experienced in Mists of Pandaria? Please state if it was on 10man or 25man and was it normal or heroic
HoF: Full normal clear. 2nd Boss HC. 25man.
MSV: Full normal clear. 5/6 HC. (10?) 25man.

SoO: Full normal clear. 13/14HC (Garrosh best try 35% in 2nd phase). 25man
What previous raid experience (Vanilla, TBC, WoLK, Cata) do you have on this char? Please only mention stuff you did at the time when it was a current raid, we dont need to know you can clear black temple when you are level 90.

What do you think YOUR responsibilities are in a raid? :
Give a original answer here, saying to buff and dps/heal/tank isn't really worth mentioning
As a Paladin healer, I am usually assigned the role of Tank healer. So my responsibilities stem from this: I must put out the required healing while managing my mana and performing the fight's mechanics to the highest possible standard. I must use my spells and abilities in the most efficient way to both preserve mana and to generate holy power. Paladin is a very strong class with many useful cooldowns - It is my responsibility to know when to pop my personal cooldowns for optimum usage (Avenging Wrath, Divine Favor, Guardian of Ancient Kings, Divine Protection, Divine Shield), to use my raid cooldowns/tank cooldowns (Devotion Aura, Hand of Sacrifice) and cooldowns such as Hand Of Protection and Hand of Freedom without delay when they are needed. It is my responsibility to use the appropriate talent and glyph choices for the current fight. I need to keep myself out of harm's way, avoiding any unnecessary damage. Besides tank healing, I need to be ready to contribute to raid healing as and when its needed.
What is your Spell Rotation/Priority ?
Beacon on Tank. Holy Shock, Holy Radiance and Judgement(when using Selfless Healer) to build holy power. Holy power is used on Light of Dawn (Eternal Flame if specced into it for that fight). Divine Light if the tank is taking heavy damage.
Why have you chosen to reforge, gem and enchant the way you have? Give a brief description on why particular stats are good for your class/spec.
After Intellect, Mastery is a holy paladin's most important stat - and my reforges, gems and enchants reflect this. A holy paladin's mastery means that overhealing becomes a shield on the target, and more mastery = more of the heal becomes a shield. It means that any overhealing I am doing is not wasted - it becomes an absorb shield.
Also Post a UI Screen Shot (this is so we know how you see what's around you)

Provide a relevant World of Logs report from your past guild/raid. Not being able to provide this can be detrimental to your application. If you do not have any relevant logs, please run an LFR and log that, we are not looking at your damage, more so your buff up-times etc.

hi Zaino
got a few worries / questions
i notice your healing with 1-2 discs / 1-2 paladins / 1-2 Shamans and 1 druid so i get that your HPS may seems slightly low on some fights as shamans are sniping healing and discs shields are better than a paladins. so i wont pull your legs on that one much.
what annoys me the most is probably that your running with 6.8k haste, even if your using selfless healer it dont hurt if you go all the way to 7170k for the breakpoint for Eternal flame, after all it lowers Holyshock CD anyways. and if you switch between that talent it would be a win win, as the haste breakpoint thats lower than 7170 would be 3506, putting you way above you may aswell just go all the way.
question: is stacking Mastery like you do, better than Stacking Intellect?
Wondering why you would Leave out Desolution as its the highest ranked Guild you have been in the last ~1 year
Jan 21, 2014 Zaino joined guild Archaic Order
Dec 21, 2013 Zaino left guild Desolution
Aug 11, 2013 Zaino joined guild Desolution
Jul 15, 2013 Zaino left guild Licentia Proeliator
Other than that, looks good.
Good luck with your application zaino

Hi Thoaee, appreciate the quick response.
I've reworked my reforges according to the haste cap, thank you for the pointer.
As for Mastery v Intellect, I find that is it more beneficial to have the high mastery to increase the amount of absorb shield each heal provides. It is the same stat priority that many (if not most) holy paladins are using.
As for Desolution, my paladin was never in the guild. My paladin was originally named Xzaino and I had a DK called Zaino that was in Desolution as Social Rank. I realm changed the DK, and used the name for my paladin. I joined Archaic Order on July 18th 2013. Hope this clears up any confusion.
Thanks,
Zaino |

hi.
haste breakpoint, Check.
previous guilds, Check
Int vs mastery. i would like to agree with you to a certain point.
i agree its very beneficial, but im thinking and this is just a personal thought.
if your healing with 2 disc Priests allready, it just seems like the absorb would go to waste as disc priest? so i would think Int (pure troughput) would be better? dont know for a fact tho.
my own Paladin is full out mastery as well ( Alt ) whats your though about that then? |

Archaic Order's healing roster has been very unstable recently, we have 2 resto druids, 2 disc priests, 2 paladins, shamans and a shaman who swaps to his monk and the combination we raid with has been changing a lot. So it is more efficient to stick with the full mastery build, as I know I can put out the required healing with whatever setup we go with. I do see your thinking behind the intellect v mastery, but it would greatly depend on the healer set-up and how stable that setup is.
