What Elixirs/Flasks/Buff food do you use in raids to boost your performance?
- Flask of the warm sun
- Mogu Fish stew , 300 stat noodles. Failing those i allways keep some 275 int food at hand if i run out of Mogu fish stew.
- Jade Serpent Pots

Describe what you think you would bring to our guild if accepted. (raiding and social aspects)

A mature, experienced and competitive minded raider that is driven to perform at a high level of raiding. I actively research my class for any encounter specific tips and tricks through icy veins , MMOchamp and the likes as is expected.
Outside of raids you can mostly find me farming for pots/flasks/food/gems or doing LFR as my online time is pretty limited . I have a girlfriend that has 2 kids (2 and 4 years old) from a previous marriage and we have them every other week.

Reason for Leaving:

I'll start at the beginning. I started playing WoW when ulduar was allready out and began raiding with Prozac Hunters since the start of ICC and quickly rose through the ranks firstly as priest classleader and come Cata i took on the role of officer helping to lead raids in the absence of our usual RL. we started off slowly in cata as we were trying to push for 25m raids which severely gimped our progress rate and we fell back to 10m halfway through the patch. When firelands came out we stuck to 10m and managed to clear all but raggy on HC and in DS we had the full HC clear at the 10% nerf mark. At that point a few of the officers , me included , tried to convince the GM to realm transfer the guild to a more active server as Chromaggus had been dead and buried with little to no chance of actually recruiting decent players. The GM didn't believe it would be an issue with a new xpac on the way and said "server activity will go up again" , so we stayed on Chrom...

MoP came out , we got some recruits and pushed for 25m raiding again.
It failed horribly , the good recruits we had realmtransfered and we were forced back to mostly 10m raiding. Right around this point we brought the realm transfer back up to boost recruitment , but once again our pleas fell into the ears of a deaf man. Tensions within the leaderboard ran high resulting in classleaders realmtransferring and others within the leaderboard having a go at each other. Me and jamez decided to follow one of our classleaders to his old guild where there was still steady 25m raiding going on with decent progress.
Needless to say that after the ordeal within Prozac Hunters i felt demotivated and not long after i transferred i felt completely burned out on WoW and i quit playing.

After about 6 months of inactivity , a colleague of mine that plays asked me if wouldn't try to come and play in his guild just for the lulz . Seeing as i was somewhat starting to miss WoW i accepted his offer and transferred my mage and druid to Turalyon in June . I started helping his guild out with old T14 content and the raiding bug caught me again.
After a week or 2 of wiping on normal mode T14 content and i absolutely wanted to see ToT at least while its current , i applied and got accepted with The Devil's Backbone early July which was the only 25m guild on the server that hadn't started progressing on HC. We downed Lei Shen on normal just about 2 or 3 weeks before SoO hit and outside of Jin'rok HC the leaderboard didn't go for any other HC modes.
So , now i'm here 2 weeks into the patch and there are allready problems getting a 25m going with folks either not showing or quitting.
I wouldn't have had a problem with just progressing on normal, but as things are right now , i don't see this guild surviving for another patch.
I've been following Cerebral since jamez/thaena turned his attention towards you late Cata, you've had solid progress which at the time was similar or slightly better then ours and are my first choice.

When did you start this character and how long have you /played?

Started this Char as an alt late Wotlk . Currently 36 days and change played.
My priest has well over 150 days played.

What encounters and raids have you experienced in Mists of Pandaria? Please state if it was on 10man or 25man and was it normal or heroic

- T14 15/16 normal ( wasn't there for the amber shaper kill) mostly 10m.
T14 HC 4/16 on 25m is where i quit playing
- T15 12/12 normal
T15 HC 1/13

What previous raid experience (Vanilla, TBC, WoLK, Cata) do you have on this char? Please only mention stuff you did at the time when it was a current raid, we dont need to know you can clear black temple when you are level 90.

All progress was on my former main.

What do you think YOUR responsibilities are in a raid? :
Give a original answer here, saying to buff and dps/heal/tank isn't really worth mentioning

As a mage there isn't really that much i bring to a raid except good deeps , the occasional spellsteal dispell , decursing, CCing and popping TW when called for. If i spec Frost i kan kite the living shit out of mobs as well whenever needed... oh and cake Smile

What is your Spell Rotation/Priority ?
Opener prepull : at 5s drop RoP , 3s pop mirror images, jade serpent pot and start precasting arcane blast.

after the pull : after the first arcane blast immediately apply my mage bomb , arcane blast up to 4 stacks of arcane charge if at this point i have all my procs i pop my arcane power- mana gem - alter time macro- refresh my mage bomb with all the procs and CDs up , consume all missiles procs , if theres still time before AT expires i try to get in an arcane blast or 2 and consume my 4 stacks of AC with Arcane Barrage before it expires. When AT expires i refresh magebomb again when all my procs are still up , consume Missiles again and if i'm above 94% mana get in another arcane blast before wiping the stacks again with arcane barrage.

after the opener i go into a pretty simple rotation (its mage duuuuuuuuh)

Keep my bomb up as best as i can , refreshing it early when trinkets/meta go off and again before they expire to extend them. Keep my RoP down , Arcane Blast up to 4 stacks and consuming Missiles at 4 stacks or earlier if i notice im gonna go below 80% mana. Drop AC stacks with arcane barrage when im at 4 with no missile procs left and am not above 94% mana.

On cleave and multiple add fights i change my rotations slightly in order to get more arcane barrages out if they are tanked close together.

Why have you chosen to reforge, gem and enchant the way you have? Give a brief description on why particular stats are good for your class/spec.

As Arcane ( which i believe yields the highest numbers with all the cleaving and multitarget fights in SoO together with high burst, used to play fire but the 20% combustion nerf didn't do it any favors)
i'm going all out mastery after reaching hitcap since Arcane's mastery ups the overall damage output with haste as second to shorten spellcasts and extra magebomb ticks.

Elvui raidframes are left above the chatframe, DBM timers are above the Target frame , Omen left of the skada healing window.

Provide a relevant World of Logs report from your past guild/raid. Not being able to provide this can be detrimental to your application. If you do not have any relevant logs, please run an LFR and log that, we are not looking at your damage, more so your buff up-times etc.

Why did you choose to apply to this guild in particular?
As i allready stated above you guys have steady raids , great progress rate and i've been following you for a while.

Players you know / How did you come across us?

Jamez/Thaena steered me towards applying to you and i currently have my former main guilded with you as a social.

Alts and Level (if any):- My 90 priest with tailoring/enchanting
- lvl 90 druid with herbalism/alchemy
- lvl 90 DK on Maelstrom which is my sisters server

All of them are currently guilded
- Mage with the devil's Backbone ( Turalyon )
- my priest with cerebral
- Druid is currently still in my colleagues guild on Turalyon. I am however transferring him over as well if accepted since he supports whatever i'm maining with pots/flasks
- My DK is in my sisters guild on Maelstrom

What days can you play and what hours during those days (Please let us know now so no confusion is caused if you were to be accepted)?:
(Members are required to be available for raiding at least 3/4 nights week with higher attendance preferred.) Raid days are Wed Thurs Sun Mon. 2000-0000 server time we do occasionally stay later if we are close to a kill. Fri & Sat are off nights but if people are online we try to do alt runs or RBG's.

I can raid 100% wed-thurs-sunday , mondays are 50/50

Previous online gaming experience (if any):

Mostly console games before i started playing WoW , with CoD4 , BFMW , Socom and GoW as the major ones . It's how i met jamez a long time ago and he has been my wingman ever since. We played clanwars on every major shooter/FPS through sites like Gamebattles.

if it werent for him i wouldnt of played WoW most likely lol, he was the one that got me hooked to it in the first place...

i will most defintly vouch for him skillwise as he is one of the better raiders ive raided with in my wow exp

I can if needed , however at my current gearlevel the amount of crit i can gather isn't all that great (anything sub 17k crit feels kinda meh).
Looking at Mage parses though, arcane outperforms fire on all fights. It might change the further we go through the patch as fire scales really well , but right now i'd prefer to stay arcane...
