:: Application ::
-----------------------------------
Character Details
-----------------------------------
Character Name: Leyatee

Class: Monk

Level: 90

Armory Link:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/anachronos/Leyatee/advanced (I have just today transferred to Kazzak so at some point soon the link will change to http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/kazzak/Leyatee/advanced)

Professions and Skill Level:
Inscription and Jewelcrafting 600. All secondary professions also at 600.

What Elixirs/Flasks/Buff food do you use in raids to boost your performance?
I either use Spirit or Int flasks and food depending on the situation. Previously I was in a 10man guild with no Mana Tide so tended to lean toward spirit buffs but I suspect with a Mana Tide and once I get the meta I would be leaning towards Int buffs for the pure output.

Describe what you think you would bring to our guild if accepted.
I am an experienced player with a calm, mature attitude to gaming. I have been made an officer of every guild I have been in because I am very good at dealing with people. I am someone that is good at analyzing peoples performance including my own and coming up with new tactics to combat that. I am also an experienced raid leader but I am equally happy taking a back seat over voice comms.

-----------------------------------
Character History
-----------------------------------
Previous Guilds:
Semper Fi - Hellfire EU (TBC)
Rebirth - Anachronos EU (TBC-WotLK)
Cold Logic - Anachronos EU (WotLK)
Synthesis - Anachronos EU (WotLK-Cata)
Imaginary Club - Anachronos EU (Cata-MoP)

Reason for Leaving:
Imaginary Club sadly stopped raiding recently. One of our tanks needed to quit for real life reasons and the server we were on made recruitment impossible. After a couple of weeks of trying to forge ahead, we decided it was best to go our seperate ways.

When did you start this character and how long have you /played?
This character was started at MoP release and currently has around 38 and a half days played time.

What encounters and raids have you experienced in Mists of Pandaria?
All my MoP raid experience so far has been in 10man.
I have cleared the following pre-nerf:
MSV - 6/6 Hc
HoF - 6/6 Hc
ToeS - 4/4 Normal
Post nerf: ToeS - 3/4 Heroic
ToT 12/12 Normal, 1/12 Hc

What previous raid experience (Vanilla, TBC, WoLK, Cata) do you have on this char?
On this character, my only raid experience is in MoP for obvious reasons. I began playing in TBC with a resto druid however. I cleared Sunwell when it was current (most notably M'uru pre-nerf) and got realm first on the first tier of raids in WotLK. In Ulduar I was in Rebirth and managed to push as high as world 9th kill of General Vezax hard mode on 10man. Rebirth fell apart shortly after. From then up until MoP I cleared all content when it was current (save for Anub'arak Heroic in ToGC 25).

What do you think YOUR responsibilities are in a raid? :
I think by far the biggest responsibility for any healer is to work as part of the healing team. The most successful healers I have played with have been the ones who have been willing to do what is needed for the team and not just to whore themselves to the top of recount. For me that means many things but examples include moving and soaking things with Zen Meditation so other healers are freed up for topping people up or using Revival to clear a large amount of dispels to save the other healers mana. Tied in with that is the responsibility of finding ways to make sure people don't die. By that I mean more than just filling peoples health bars. I mean finding optimal cooldown usage, identifying what has killed someone and finding a way to make sure that does not happen.

What is your Spell Rotation ?
There isn't a rotation as such for a healer but the general rule of thumb as a Mistweaver is to cast Renewing Mist on cooldown and to pool Chi with Soothing Mist for predictable damage spikes.

Why have you chosen to reforge, gem and enchant the way you have? Give a brief description on why particular stats are good for your class/spec.
At the moment, I am reforging, gemming and enchanting to get as close as possible to the 6141 haste breakpoint. Past that, focusing on Crit. The haste breakpoint gives me a 3rd additional tick on Renewing Mist as well as exceeding the breakpoint for an additional Enveloping Mist tick. After that, Crit is currently the best of a bad bunch of secondary stats. It increases Mana Tea stacks gained which increases mana regen and has a small benefit for output. Mastery can scale nicely in a 25 man environment so I would need to test that should I be accepted. I can probably also afford to drop a fair bit of spirit for more int when I get the meta. Just needing 6 more Secrets.

Also Post a UI Screen Shot (this is so we know how you see what's around you)

Post a World of Logs report from your past guild or a 3 minute DPS report on the training dummies:
http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/200479/ is the link for my old guild. We haven't raided for quite some time but that should give you an idea.

-----------------------------------
Technical Information
-----------------------------------

Do you have oRA3 Deadly Boss Mods and OMEN ?
Yes to all of the above

Please list any other add ons you use to help you raid.
Grid is the only other addon I use which affects my raiding in any way. Everything else is purely cosmetic.

Do you have a microphone & Ventrilo installed?
I do.

Describe your skill in spoken English:
I am a Speech and Language Therapist. The spoken word is the tool of my craft. I would say that my skill in spoken English is excellent.

What's your connection & computer hardware?
Connection: 30mb wired broadband connection. Extremely rare to experience stability or connection issues.
Hardware: 3.4GHz dual core processor with 8GB RAM. NVidia GeForce GTX 660 graphics card. Capable of handling world boss zergs with ease.

-----------------------------------
General Information
-----------------------------------

Age: 26

Country: England

Why did you choose to apply to this guild in particular?
You have a relatively close progression to what I was at in my previous guild. I have never been fond of joining a guild toward the end of progression and blasting through bosses you know. I like to be with a guild and work through progression. I have also been plagued for the last few years with a very low population realm. Recently, my previous realm wasn't even able to kill Oondasta and Nalak kills were incredibly rare. It is not a fun way to play, I like to have things to do outside of raiding also so I need a guild on a realm that has a significant population.

Players you know / How did you come across us?
I noticed you on the LF Players forum.

Alts and Level (if any):
I have the following alts at level 90:
Warlock (well geared and green fire'd)
Shaman (well geared)
Mage (average gear)
Priest (average gear)
Druid (poor gear)
Death Knight (poor gear)
Paladin (poor gear)
I also have a Rogue and Hunter at 86.

Are you or any of your alts currently guilded?:
My alts are currently all scattered between the guilds my friends and I have though should things go well on Kazzak I would probably bring a couple of the better ones over. My monk is currently unguilded.

Did you read our Rules & Policies?
Read & Understood

What days can you play and what hours during those days (Please let us know now so no confusion is caused if you were to be accepted)?:
I am available any evening for raids from roughly 1900 onwards. I arrange my social activities around raid times. I can be available for as many raids as necessary.

Previous online gaming experience (if any):
WoW was my first real online game. I have dabbled in other MMOs since but not stuck at any of them.

Anything else you'd like to include about yourself:
I think I have covered most things briefly. I am happy to discuss my guild and raiding history in more detail if you want more information but didn't want to add it all in to the main body of my application purely because it would make for a long read. If you have any questions at all, leave a reply here or contact me via my Battletag - Leyati#2917.

Looks like he knows his shit imo ^^ although we might want to work on the ui a bit. For all i know monks have a lot of stuff to manage so id recommend you use weak-auras/ tellmewhen as well to improve your performance even further. Id suggest you look at affinichi's youtube guide on weak-auras for mw monks and apply it.

I've never really felt the need to track cooldowns. I have tried a couple of cooldown tracking addons in the past and found that it puts so much emphasis on looking at things it just becomes a distraction. My performance has always been better without, knowing the flow of the class - I have found it easy enough just to keep track in my head, its pretty much second nature like driving to me now. For buffs, all the important ones are attached to Grid and my unit frame - though you can't see from the screenshot.

It is probably worth getting a ReM tracker for 25. It is easy to do just with Grid for 10 but it won't be so easy on 25.

Thank you for applying to Cerebral!

All looks good apart from a few things.

Shroomzy. About the Ui. Tracking stuff isn't too difficult. When healing you get this rhythm that like what Leyati said, second nature. When i heal its a 15sec process, Bubble penance POM then raid heal. Pretty much spam that unless tactics stops me from doing that, Twins and what not. So i agree with Leyati here. Dont need weak auras to track stuff that we should already know.

Heres something you could try Leyati. Try and get as much intellect as possible. Gem red sockets with Pure Intellect gems, Yellow sockets with Int+Crit and blue with Int+Spirit. Then try and work your reforges to try and get your haste cap. I think the extra intellect you get from regeming is going to be worth it rather then gem pure haste to try and get your cap.

Plus use pure intellect gems with your JC.

Also, I'd advise you get Ascension for extra mana and chi (Or if mana isnt an issue you could use Chi Brew for more throughput). Also Chi Torpedo. Stacking fights like Megaera, roll out and back in straight away would be nice

Intellect thing looks good. I could net around 400 extra Int here and there for now. I did get a little lazy when I got the chest this week, after not raiding for a few weeks I just whacked a haste gem in it to push me over cap for ease as a 160 one wouldn't cut it. All I have done since my old guild fell apart is LFR so I haven't quite payed as much attention to my figures! I'd already planned to push my focus away from Spirit (including with my JC gems) once I got the meta. I'd want to see how my regen holds out in a 25man before changing those over though.

I have found Ascension to be really weak honestly unless you are stuck fistweaving for an entire fight. It doesn't give the mana return that Power Strikes does and Power Strikes has the benefit of offering extra throughput. When it comes to Chi Brew vs Power Strikes, I tend to prefer Power Strikes really. Chi Brew works out as less mana than Power Strikes purely because Power Strikes will generate more Chi over a fight even with Chi Brew used on cooldown. If I can get to that point where mana is no issue, I would be using it on more fights.

I already do switch between Xuen and Chi Torpedo depending on the fight. There are a fair few fights (at least in 10) where I have found Chi Torpedo to be unusable or at least inefficient. In general, I am not a 'these are my 6 talents, I never switch' kind of person. I carry around a few stacks of tomes and quite often change my t30 and t90 choice for the situation.
