What Elixirs/Flasks/Buff food do you use in raids to boost your performance?
This Depends on the fight to be honest.
I use spirit and intellect flasks, mainly intellect, 300 intellect food and i use a jade serpent potion.
I do keep mana potions on me for the "oh crap" moments but i have not needed them much.
The only time i need a spirit flask are fights that require more throughput healing over atonement ie Lei Shen HC.

Describe what you think you would bring to our guild if accepted. (raiding and social aspects)
I am a friendly person that enjoys a good conversation, I enjoy helping with raid tactics and helping out in general. I enjoy a good challenge and helping others if i can.

Dragons breath:Dragons Breath (on Mazrigos) I was slandered by a fellow raid member and I did not want to be in a team where that kind of behaviour was deemed acceptable
Archaic Order: I didnt stay there long but they seemed to lack the stability and leadership i was looking for.

When did you start this character and how long have you /played?
I started Mienien just before the release of Cataclysm and my time played thus far is: 99 days 13 hours and 36 minutes

What encounters and raids have you experienced in Mists of Pandaria? Please state if it was on 10man or 25man and was it normal or heroic
MsV HC -10 man
HoF Normal - 10 man
ToT HC - 10 man with tries on 25 HC Lei Shen (I have currently only killed 7 Heroics in 10 man)

What previous raid experience (Vanilla, TBC, WoLK, Cata) do you have on this char?
I cleared Firelands Normal with a few Pugged HC's and
DragonSoul HC except Deathwing (sadly our team fell apart for holidays)

What do you think YOUR responsibilities are in a raid? :
I know i have to keep my relevant targets alive but it is up to me to know when it is best for my CD's and to communicate clearly with my fellow healers. I need to know what is happening throughout the raid and react accordingly, there are no set rules when healing, there is only a rough draft of what to use when. I will make suggestions about how to better a fight and i will let people know where my strengths and weaknesses are. If im struggling to top people off in time then i wont be ashamed to ask for help. I never tunnel vision on my given targets, I always help where I can. I know my Class inside out, it is up to me to make sure I can maximise my abilities and let the raid know when and where i can help with mechanics.

What is your Spell Rotation/Priority ?
I dont have one, I am a healer. I use whatever spell is necessary for the current situation. Cooldowns i will try to keep for their required moments if given a healing CD rotation but i will use mine beforehand if the damage requires it.

Why have you chosen to reforge, gem and enchant the way you have?
My setup depends on the fight and setup of the raid team: (currently only based on 10 man raiding and a tiny bit of 25 man)

I have balanced my crit and mastery to what i needed in my previous team, crit being there for atonement and helping put in the added dps required for certain kills and the mastery due to a lot of single target healing and having useful shields.

I do change a lot of my stats depending on what is required of me from the raid leader/healing team per boss.

I do have more haste than is possibly needed but i found that it compensated for my lag back in SA, i also prefer being able to stack spirit shell faster, even more so with the nerf coming in 5.4
You will notice i went for a dps trinket, I do swap this out for the shado-pan mana trinket, the dps trinket increased my atonement by 10-15k and with the amount of crit uptime, it has is causing almost a 10% more uptime of Divine Aegis.

I do also have the worst Off Hand but the spell power and other stat gains over the Ji-Kun Normal staff were something I went for as I didnt need the extra spirit.

Enchanting is mainly int/crit as i do a lot of atonement and i have haste on my gloves so that i dont have to gem for it unnecessarily.

Gemming is changed constantly depending on the fight and gear that i have, i try to keep a nice balance of crit, mastery, intellect, spirit (around 11.5k) and a slight bit of haste.

I have to leave some kind of mystery about myself as everyone has their own opinions to which I can not deflect =) I hope I will be a happy face in the guild if i am accepted.

A few things about your gear that could be changed.

Blue gems = 80 Intellect + 160 Spirit / 160 Spirit + 160 Crit
Red Gems = 80 Intellect + 160 Crit
Yellow Gems = 320 Crit
Prismatic = 320 Crit

Follow these and all should be good.

Personally I don't reforge out of spirit.
You say for Lei Shen you use a Spirit flask; I'd rather keep my reforges with spirit and be able to use an Intellect flask for more Spell Power which in turn means more Atonement / Divine Aegis healing. And the Spirit from the gear means more Smites.

And also I would start thinking about swapping your cloak for the spirit one because next patch you really do want the healing legendary and not the DPS one.

Currently that's all I have looked at. Started replying 30 mins before raid and now it's raid time. Will check back later.

If you look at my gear, i currently have 6 items that have no spirit, i have reforged spirit where I can.

As for your gemming suggestions, I am unable to change them, I have gemmed to keep my spirit up at a decent level. As I get better gear I would go with the suggested gems, they are my preffered gems to be honest.

I use a spirit flask on HC Lei Shen as my healing assignments required a lot more usage of throughput spells such as PoM over atonment and there were a lot of learning curves within that team. My mana was only an issue with an intellect flask due to people not knowing what to do and taking unnecessary damage constantly. I would have chosen an intellect flask as soon as people got the mechanics correct.

My cloak is the dps one, it is currently a boost to my healing, I am planning to change it when the expansion hits as I know the new bosses are going to require a lot more throughput.

if spirit is that much of an issue why are you not taking advantage of blue sockets with pure spirit gems especially since i see a reforge from crit to spirit then gemmed crit /spirit.

spirit is not an issue with my current setup, Lei Shen has been the first fight that i have used a spirit flask and I only did so because of the team not knowing the mechanics and forcing me to go for that extra 1k spirit which I could have gemmed by giving up other stats. Knowing that I would change to an Intellect flask when everyone knew tactics and as I was on a trial basis and not having an issue with healing I decided not to reforge and stick with the flask, It didnt seem to effect my healing.

As for my reforge from crit into spirit and then gemming spirit/crit, i did have that as a pure spirit gem until recently. I also went this way because if i had gemmed pure spirit I would have only had 320, I didnt need to add an extra 268 on top of that (with a reforge) but i did want slightly more hence the reforge (268 spirit) and the 160 gem giving me 428 spirit rather than the 588 if i had gemmed and reforged purely into spirit.

I was asked to go pure crit and crit/int where possible, those gems i cannot do as it will drop my spirit too low but i cant go for pure spirit gems in all my blue sockets as it will drop my other stats too low and i'd end up with more spirit than needed.

I also have this set up as I was raiding in a 10 man team with another Disc Priest, atonement covered almost 90% of our healing to be honest, it was easy. I will change my gear and stat weights to suit my given role though, obviously i will sit and do math about what is better and how my stats can be improved.

A 25 man is very different to 10 man raid teams, If I am given the chance to settle into a team and get used to their set-up I will be changing my reforges and playstyle to suit it. I monitor my mana etc throughout a fight and I look at logs to see what I can do to improve, if I am expected to do more raw healing then i will change my gems to improve spirit rather than using a spirit flask.
