|:: Application ::
Character Name: Eximind
Large buildings: Barracks, Warmill; Medium buldings: Tavern, Trading Post; Small buildings: Enchanters study (my prof building), Salvage yard, Storehouse
What Elixirs/Flasks/Buff food do you use in raids to boost your performance?
Greater Draenic Agility potion, Hyper Augment rune (soon I will get the reputation item),Salty Squid Roll
Describe what you think you would bring to our guild if accepted. (raiding and social aspects)
I will bring a dedicated, mature raider, who gives his absolute best in every situation. I always keep myself updated about my class when it comes to specs, tips and tricks about specific boss encounters. As I said I am dedicated but also relaxed and know when it's time to joke and when it's time to be dead serious. Not much that I can offer apart from a close to 100% attendance and doing my "homework" beforehand when it comes to boss fights. I am a bit shy so it might take some time for me to start chit-chatting but I'm certainly not socially awkward person.
Previous Guilds: Only one- In Progress.
Reason for Leaving:
I was continuously disrespected by an officer and a core raider who said I wasn't pulling my own weight and I was told "to shut up and not speak so that only important people are on talking on TS". When ever I did open my mouth it was only to announce if I can solo some boss mechanic or if i can take an interrupt if the assing person is either dead or unable for some reason to do it himself. Funny thing is that the thesis about me not pulling my own weight was not accepted by the rest of the officer team neither from the Guild master but still they sat there silently not taking a side when I had spoken with them about the rude treatment I was getting. I know how to take criticism but this was certainly not it. Trying to pin somebody else's faults on me was something i would not tollerate. I have never disrespected any other member of my guild and I expected the same, but alas...
When did you start this character and how long have you /played?
When I was hooked to the game by a friend of mine I told him the kind of character I'd like to play and he suggested Rogue. Ever since then I've been in love with the class. 145d, 23h /played.
What encounters and raids have you experienced in the past, Pre-Patch MoP, After 6.0 etc? HC / Mythic
I actually came to Blizzard's servers two years ago was it? Somewhere around the release of SoO. My past WoW experience is all based on private servers because I was a poor church rat and couldn't afford subscription. But once I got a stable job and levelled my rogue I managed to clear 13/14 SoO Heroic (the old heroic) pre 6.0 but my guild was inactive due to the summer and we called progress before 6.0 launch. Once WoD came out I managed to clear 5/7 Mythic Highmaul pre BRF, came back later on to get 7/7 Cutting Edge Imperator. Cleared 8/10 BRF Mythic and just missed out the one night of progress that Blast furnace was defeated on mythic. Did some Blackhand progress but our best attempt was ~40%. Currently Ive cleared 13/13N HFC and 12/13HC HFC then I left my guild and I've been stuck with thatprogress due to pugs not willing to accept a "non curved" player.
What previous raid experience (Vanilla, TBC, WoLK, Cata, MoP) do you have on this char? Please only mention stuff you did at the time when it was a current raid, we dont need to know you can clear black temple when you are level 90.
SoO 13/14 old heroic while current as mentioned above.
What do you think YOUR responsibilities are in a raid? :
Give a original answer here, saying to buff and dps/heal/tank isn't really worth mentioning
Well... doing dps, avoiding unnessecary damage, reducing the unavoidable damage with def cooldowns to make healers` lives easier, executing boss mechanics and following the guild strategy. I know that sometimes things can go wrong so I am expected to react accordingly and not just blackout if things aren't going according to plan. But that's what voice chat is for and I can listen and do what I am told to.
What is your Spell Rotation/Priority?
Depening on spec: Combat - From stealth prepot on 1 second, Ambush, Slice and Dice, Revealing strike, Sinister strike to lower my energy, Adrenaline Rush + Killing spree ( stacking them both due to tier 18 4p set bonus). After that is Sinister strike to 5 combo points, if slice and dice and revealing strike are up- eviscerate, if not refresh slice and dice with what ever combo points i currently have and never let it drop off, same for revealing strike debuff. Since I use combat on add heavy fights I use Marked for Death and try to get as much casts of it as possible. Vanish on Cooldown because of the "energy free" combo point generation because of Shadowfocus talent.
Subtlety- From stealth premeditation on 10 seconds, prepot on 2 + Slice and Dice, Vanish on 1 second for 5 combo points + extra damage from the tier 18 4p bonus, Ambush, Rupture, Shadow Refcletion, Shadow Dance, spam ambush, getting a Rupture while Shadowreflection "memorises my moves". If Slice and Dice and Rupture are up use Eviscerate. AFter Shadow Dance is down Preparation for the 2nd Vanish, Ambush. Again if Slice and Dice and RUpture are up then I Eviscerate. If not I refresh them at below 8 seconds for the Pandemic effect. After that it's using Shadow Dance, SHadow Reflection and Vanish on cooldown. Unless ofcourse some boss mechanic dictates otherwise. But never holding my CDs for more than 5-8 seconds.
Why have you chosen to gem and enchant the way you have? Give a brief description on why particular stats are good for your class/spec.
I am not a theory crafter but I do read alot of guides and actual player oppinions as to what is best. MMO-C, Icyveins and Shadowcraft are my main source of info about all rogue stuff. Occassionally I do use Simcraft. I have chosen Combat and Subtlety spec which share pretty much the same stat priority- ofcourse agility is the king stat followed by multistrike( which I gemmed and enchanted myself with) then mastery. After that its pretty much a miniscule difference. Those specs have good synergy because Sub is the best single target spec which favours multistrike and Combat is the cleave spec. Generally haste would be the best stat for Combat single target but like I said I use it for cleave fights and there Multistrike overtakes the top spot.
Post a UI Screen Shot (this is so we know how you see what's around you)
Provide a relevant Warcraft Logs report from your past guild/raid. Not being able to provide this can be detrimental to your application. If you do not have any relevant logs, please run an LFR and log that, we are not looking at your damage, more so your buff up-times etc. Ofc with a new tier it's harder to get accurate logs but do use Normal / Hc to your advantage.
This is from my last guild run which was well over a month ago. https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/2987KCVLyWZfbqtT#type=damage-done&fight=1
Do you have a boss mods installed?
(Please don't apply until you have)
BigWigs and LittleWigs
Please list any other addons you use to help you raid.
TellMeWhen, Slice Admiral, Weak Auras, ExtraCD, MoveAnything and TidyPlates, although these two are more cosmetic, Bartender. Those are the once associated with raiding.
Do you have a microphone & TS3 installed?
Yes, I do. Both.
Describe your skills in spoken English:
Uhm, just shy of excellent.
What's your connection & computer hardware?
~40ms and my pc specs are as follows: Intel Core i5- 4570@ 3.2GHZ. 8GB Ram, GF 650GTX 1GB
Why did you choose to apply to this guild in particular?
You are highly ranked guild on the best EU pve server so that appealed to me. Also your raiding hours are suitable for me. In the Rules and Conduct you mentioned you value respect and maturity towards the guild members and others which is what I am looking for. As mentioned above it was disrespect that made me leave my old guild and the fact that officers did nothing about it.
Players you know / How did you find us?
Sadly, I haven't had the pleasure of knowing anyone in the guild. I read about it on WoWProgress.
Alts and Level (if any and which guilds they're in):
I have 2 more level 100s but they are really badly geared and I cannot play them at high-end raiding level. THey are just for when I am really bored and have nothing to do to just do another mount farm or something.
Did you read our Rules & Policies?
Yes, I did.
What days can you play and what hours during those days (Please let us know now so no confusion is caused if you were to be accepted)?:
(Members are required to be available for raiding at least 3/4 nights week with higher attendance preferred.) Raid days are Wed Thurs Sun Mon. 2000-0000 server time we do occasionally stay later if we are close to a kill. Fri & Sat are off nights but if people are online we try to do alt runs or RBG's.
I can attend all of the raiding days you have listed. The hour is 21.00 my local time so work shouldn't interfere.
Previous online gaming experience (if any):
Nothing worth mentioning.
Anything else you'd like to include about yourself:
Nothing really, I think I said all there is already. If I haven't answered anything please feel free to ask me anytime.
Before applying be sure your willing to work hard on your character at level 100 and try to better it outside of raids by spamming heroics, farming mats for crafted gear that will improve your raid performance, and having it all gemmed and enchanted properly.
This is a something every serious raider should do. Nothing to discuss here really.
