Please provide us with a link to your current raiding talent build and explain why you have chosen this spec :

At the moment there are a number of different druid healing builds that are viable, this particular build favours a more raid healing 25 man environment, however for fights when I may need to become a tank healer it can be adjusted to suite for example taking 3/3 living seed. I can also reforge to favour more mastery and therefore more healing throughput.

In this build I am unable to dispel magic, however if needed I could respec back into this if no other healer was able to fulfil this position.

I am open to any suggestions about talent changes.

Resto Tree

2/2 natural shape shifter – allows for master shape shifter

2/2 Naturalist – reduced cast time on healing touch and nourish... (self explanatory)

3/3 Heart of the Wild – 6% intellect (what’s not to like J)

1/1 Master shape shifter – 4% more healing

3/3 Improved Rejuvi – 15% greater healing on rejuvenation and swiftmend. (standard)

1/3 Living seed - only gone for 1/3 in this as its mostly for tank healing which when raid healing points can be used elsewhere I feel. However I believe it is more effective to have living seed planted over 2% reduction in spell dmg or reduced wrath mana cost. (needed to access next level of talents)

2/2 Revitalize – 20% chance to gief 2% mana plus 1% mana for raid over 10 secs. Bit more mana regen always helps.

1/1 Nature’s swiftness – Good oh crap button, while I try to avoid using this unless 100% needed sometimes it can be the difference between a raid wipe or a kill. (instant cast + 50% bonus heal = around 80k crit)

3/3 Nature’s Bounty - 60% crit on regrowth = much more healing both on the HoT and the original heal. The Nourish bonus is a bit weak if I am honest and often not worth the mana it and loss of GCD it requires to gain the buff. ( needed to access higher up the talent tree anyway)

2/2 Empowered Touch – Direct healing gains 10% and refreshes life bloom. No brainer 2bh.

2/2 Malfurion’s Gift – 4% more chance to gain omen and 5 min reduction on our most powerful Aoe Cool down.

3/3 Efflorescence – swiftmend puts down green circle of love useful for almost every boss that requires a stack and nuke phase... so a few in firelands.

1/1 Wild Growth – This makes up a large proportion of raid healing. It smart targets and it is almost possible to use constantly. I try to cast this when under clearcasting due to 27% of base mana cost.. each one of these free is a bonus to mana saving.

1/1 Swift Rejuvenation – reduced GCD of rejuvi by 0.5 sec

3/3 Gift of the Earthmother – 15% on bloom and rejuvi heals instant making it more useful for a low health dps who won’t take dmg for a while afterwards.

1/1 Tree of life – MOARRRR healing great for certain phases of fights as gives a bonus to healing and to abilities. Can also be used as a panic button on trash etc if you see your tanks going low... (basically this is the one u want to hit when shit is gona hit the fan!)

Feral Combat

2/2 Furor – 10% more mana ( I have chosen this over genesis at the moment as I feel the 10% mana is of greater benefit to me at my current gear level)

Balance

3/3 Natures Grace – 15% haste gain every 1 min from cast of regrowth

2/2 Nature’s Majesty – 4% more crit and gives access to moonglow

3/3 Moonglow – 9% mana reduction costs – Lower cost = more healing or longer healing depending on fight J win win if you ask me.

First aid – never bothered with it but it is in your requirements so I have started to farm cloth and will level it asap.

What Elixirs/Flasks/Buff food do you use in raids to boost your performance?

Stacks of the following

Intellect/ stam food – druids tend to favour intellect over spirit as it regens mana as well as providing more throughput, crit and mana pool.

300 intellect flasks.

volcanic potions (useful for boosting mana gained from innervate)

Mana potions

Potion of concentration – some fights allow for long enough downtime for healers to rotate the use of these, allowing for a greater amount of mana restored.

Describe what you think you would bring to our guild if accepted. (Raiding and social aspects)

I can give a highly skilled and dedicated player. I have both LW and JC capped out on this char for the raid bonuses that it provides. I am a very adaptable individual and I use my eyes and my brain as well as using things such as DBM so if something isn’t quite correct I can work around it rather than

I believe I am a solid healer who can be counted on in desperate times (and let’s face it in both Normal and HC modes there may be times when somebody’s reaction fast enough and popping tranquillity will save countless lives : D)

Social wise I am from Bolton in the UK and I believe there are a number of English players in this guild which will be nice, since my current guild only had a small amount and one of them just left to join you! I can be chatty but I know when focus is required. I am always happy to lend a hand, I can take criticism well and act to improve upon any suggestions made to me.

Reason for Leaving:

I have not left the guild as of yet, but should I be offered a trial spot I will leave and realm transfer instantly.
I have two reasons, the first of which is they start to raid at 6pm UK time, this is difficult to be home in time from work and have eaten etc before raid time. The second reason is that I wish to raid 25 man and at the moment they are only able to raid 10 man due to a lack of dps players, this means that there are sometimes up to 7 healers rolling on 3 spots, one of which is usually reserved. I am not enjoying turning up not knowing if I am going to get a spot constantly. While I accept that sometimes there are no spots available, when it is every day it can become a little frustrating.

When did you start this character and how long have you /played it?
I started this char just before ICC hit and I started to raid with it in ICC times. I have done /played 54 days on this character.

What encounters and raids have you experienced in WOTLK and Cataclysm? (Feel free to add any special achievements such as Light of Dawn etc ):

In wrath I have experienced all raids on my druid and raided pre ICC on my paladin

On my druid I completed ICC 10 12/12 normal and 10/12 HC

In cata I have done completed pre firelands normal all bosses and some HC 10 man kills.

Firelands I currently have 4/7 kills with experience on Raggy (up to 45%) I would have 6/7 if I had won the roll to get into the raid in the first place J

What previous raid experience do you have on any char? ( did you raid pre tbc or Wotlk with any special titles such as Hand of A'dal Light of Dawn etc) :

Raided vanilla on my rogue – ZG and some MC

Burning crusade – got hand of A’dal and completed some MH and some BT (on rogue)

What do you think the responsibilities of your class are in a raid? :

When in Resto, to ensure the raid survives and get the correct balance between healing output and mana, an OOM healer is a useless addition to a raid. It is also my responsibility to CR dead people, who hopefully on my watch won’t be to often: P rebuff if somebody is missing Motw.

Druids also have a wide range of abilities stampeding roar etc which can be useful in certain raid situations.

How would you feel if you were asked to respec by the guild or by your class leader to either help guild or improve your dps?

I will respec if the guild requires me to do so.

What is your Spell Rotation ?

Healing Rotation - Use mouse over addons and have most of my abilities keybound.

Lifebloom 3 stacks, using regrowth and rejuvi where needed and healing touch to refresh stacks.

Healing touch + rejuvi or regrowth depending on situation.

Often will use my tranq at a time that has already been decided prior to pull, for example healers chain link their various CD to reduce healing pressure and key parts of a fight.

Why did you choose to apply to this guild in particular?

I am looking to raid 25 man environment. Your slightly later start time is greatly beneficial to myself and allows me to have a much. I am also looking for a good solid raid guild who is looking to progress and clear all content.

I know Bhaleen/Cedríc, and I am a former Bladefist player

My shammy is in a social guild with some old friends, I don’t play it very often.

My pala is currently guilded as an alt in has left the guild.

What days can you play and what hours during those days (Please let us know now so no confusion is caused if you were to be accepted)?:
(Members are required to be available for raiding at least 3/4 nights week, from 20.00 - 11.30 server time or later) Raid days are Sun-Thur Fri - SAt are Optional which we try to do 10 mans.

Now this is the part of the app where I am going to be completely honest with you guys, otherwise there is little point in joining. Most weeks I will be able to come to 3 or possible 4 raids, however I do work in a bar and I am one of the supervisors, so sometimes my shifts get changed around which can make it difficult, so I can get bad weeks when I may only be able to get online in time for 1 raid in the week. I may however log in after raid time for example at 8:30 Uk time, at which point I am available as a replacement should anybody need to leave.

I am a hardcore player who is dedicated and skilled when the constraints of life allow me to be. Sadly in this world I have rent to pay and food to put on the table.

I understand that you need players that you know are going to be online all raids in order to make good progress, however in any guild I have been in this has not been an issue in terms of me keeping up either gear wise or with tactics/skill. Should you need to reject this application due to this then I will accept it gracefully, but if u need a reference as to my ability to slot into any raid team seamlessly ask Bhaleen/ceredric (dk).

I believe I am a skilled hardworking player, In terms of my gear level I have enough VP saved for tier legs also, I am just waiting to do BH to see if I get lucky at which point I will buy the hands instead, giving me 3 of my tier set.

Should my raid times not be too much of a problem I would love to be a part of a good solid 25 man guild and I will do my best to be there for all raids.

Hello savage,

I want to know why you reforge to haste, when you are above first haste cap and far from second real haste cap?

This also leads me to ask, where do you go to find most updated and recent theorycrafting for druids?

Also, looking at enchants, i see cheap ones, which is a bad first impression.

Hi there

I had reforged to haste as with various changes I was running with DI and 5% haste buff which meant i was only required to hit the 1573 cap in order to reach the 2005 breakpoint giving me 9th tick of wild growth and efflorscense. However i have since reforged back as after some of my own calculations I have worked out the amount of throughput and mana i loose to gain the haste breakpoint due to changing gear sets is not practical.

I tend to use a mixture of sites to get my theorycrafting from elitest jerks is very active and can be useful. http://restodruid.info/ has some interesting post on as well...

also the offical drood forums can contain bits and bats inbetween the QQ and flame Smile

As for enchants, I honestly don't know what was going on, there is no excuse for any slack enchant and i never opt for the 'cheaper option' so its possible that i have made an error... however apologies for that... That is presuming you are talking about my gloves, i have now changed this so thanks for the heads up.

Yes I were talking about gloves, but also boots, however Lavawalker can be discussed for a long time wheter better or not.

I see on armory that you reforged and enchanted more optimal, which is a plus.

As a healer throughout all the years ive been raiding, run speed on boots was always BiS if you didnt get any from talents, I would always recommend it at end game raiding!

I have got lavawalker in the bank ready to enchant next boots that i will get. However I currently use + 50 mastery as i also have the racial darkflight which gives me 40% on CD, so should a high movement be required i can pop that... also being a drood i am still able to cast/ refresh some spells while moving so it is not always lost time...

anyway as said in the above posts the difference can be debated untill the cows come home but if u insist u want me to have lavawalker i will have no problem in enchanting it.

I must say, i did not think much of the worgen racial, as I have been raiding on horde my whole wow career, which is why i must have missed the racial.

We play horde, so if you were to change to play with us, troll or druid would be the only options, in which lavawalker would be of greater benefit.

Hello again savage,

With yesterdays raid in mind, I would say we are pretty stacked on players overall, we had 35 in raid, and 40+ online.

It would not be a problem for us to have you in as an extra player, however, the real question is how you would feel about transfering and faction change, just to not being guaranteed a raidspot.

I will let it be up to you, if you are interested, to contact me or another officer for a chat, if you would like to proceed. If not, I wish you good luck finding a suitable guild.

I have took some time to consider what you have said and i have come to the conclusion that it would perhaps be better to look elsewhere. This is is mostly due to i don't wish to spend money to transfer to a guild i am unlikely to get a raid spot very often...
