I would like to think to think that I bring a reliable and mature player who has a good undertanding of all the current raid tier. I have a good sense of humor however know how to be serious when raiding.

Reason for Leaving:
Savages - This was a social guild at the time that had a few real life friends in, they had no interest in raiding which is something I wanted to do.
Fear - Guild Disbanded
Finale - My current guild, we have lost a lot of the core 10m team and are struggling with heroic progression due to having to gear up new members coming to us in 346 gear. I would also prefer to raid 25m as I enjoy the "epic" feeling of them.

When did you start this character and how long have you /played ?
This character was leveled just after the release of Cataclysm. However the /played stands at 80days 8hours

What encounters and raids have you experienced in Cataclysm? Please state if it was on 10man or 25man and was it normal or heroic

What previous raid experience do you have on this char? Please only mention stuff you did at the time when it was a current raid, we dont need to know you can clear black temple when you are level 85.
None as the character was level just after the Cataclysm release.

What do you think YOUR responsibilities are in a raid? :
Give a original answer here, saying to buff and dps/heal/tank isnt really worth mentioning
Even though as a Mage I am not the one who is healing or tanking the boss I can certainly make the life for those people a lot easier by doing simple things such as watching my threat and not standing in the bad stuff. The less the healers are having to worry about me the more they can be healing the tanks. And of course I have a responsibility to push out as much DPS as possible without doing anything stupid! Of course I should come to a raid prepared with all the consumables I need be it flasks, pots, food etc. And I should always be there on time when the raid invites go out.

What is your Spell Rotation ?
On a Patchwork/Baleroc fight I would do the following:
Prepot around 5s before the pull and drink to full mana, just as soon as the tank is about to pull I use my flame orb and start casting Arcane Blast, I will do this until I reach 85% mana then I will pop my mana gem to take me back upto 100% I use now use my other cooldowns such as Arcane Power/Berserking/Mirror Images/Trinkets(If I am wearing an on-use effect one), I will then continue to Arcane Blast down to 30% mana where I will Evocate back to 100%. I will then use an Arcane Blast x4, Arcane Missiles rotation until my Evocation has a 30s cooldown left when I will begin my burn rotation again, using Flame Orb on cooldown. I try to aim to end the fight on 0% mana, any left over mana I have at the end of the fight is lost damage!

Do you have oRA3 Deadly Boss Mods and OMEN ?
Yes

PLease list any other add ons you use to help you raid.
I use PowaAuras to allow me to see if buffs are missing etc. Also for when my power torrent/trinkets etc proc. VuhDo is what I use for my raid frames it allows me to easily see if anyone has dispellable debuffs etc. And allows be to cast my own buffs on them easily.

Why did you choose to apply to this guild in particular?
I saw your post on MMO-Champion and it seemed like you had some very reasonable requirements and your raid 25m which is something I would really like to do.

Yes me and my alts are still in the guild Finale on Shadowsong EU. As thing is a X-Realm application I saw no reason to leave my current guild before applying.

What days can you play and what hours during those days (Please let us know now so no confusion is caused if you were to be accepted)?:
As a university student I have very flexible times and can raid Monday-Sunday at any time.

Previous online gaming experience (if any):
Been playing online games since I 8 years old and I had a dial-up connection. I played a lot of Quake 3 arena in the past. Since then have been playing CoD4 and TF2 for the past couple of years, whilst obviously playing a lot of WoW at the same time.

Anything else you'd like to include about yourself:
I'd just like to say that I am fully committed to raiding and should I get the oppertunity to join your ranks I would not let you down. I am always willing to participate in guild alt runs, RBGs etc.

i have only 2 things to point out.
in your spec, i think the 2 points in fire power talent are pretty much useless =p if you put them in incanter's absoption and if you manage to work well with that talent it pretty much boosts your dps for awhile in most of the fights in firelands (beth, lord ryo, domo, even rag (when traps are triggered and on seeds phase), all of these have fire dmg aoe abilities pretty much).

the 2nd thing is your haste, i think you have a little too much haste that could be reforged to mastery. arcane mages should be prioritizing haste till "soft cap" which is when you reach the 1s GCD when lust is up. dunno but with the amount of haste you have unbuffed (16.9%) you might be hitting it.
the ideal is to have between 12-13% unbuffed, ofc at some point you'll have more as your gear scales and you'll have more haste in it =p

other than that everything seems fine Smile

Thanks for the advice, as you stated I switch out points in Fire Power for Incanter's Absoption on a fight per fight basis, like you said on fights with a lot of AoE fire damage it is a pretty nice dps increase Smile

Regarding the haste I understand that I need to reach the 1s AB under BL, however as a 10m raider I cannot always guarantee that we will have a SPriest/Moonkin/Shammy in the raid for the 5% Spell Haste in which case I don't hit the soft cap, however in a 25m environment that is obviously not an issue.

I have now reforged my excess haste past the soft cap into mastery, after testing on a dummy with the 5% spell haste buff, my cast time on Arcane Blast is 1.01s with Lust which I think is close enough to the soft cap Smile
