-----------------------------------
Character Details
-----------------------------------
Character Name: Jeyne

Class: Paladin

Level: 90

(Provide us with a link to your profile in the Armory):

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/emeriss/Jeyne/simple

Professions and Skill Level: 600 Alchemy & 600 Inscription

What Elixirs/Flasks/Buff food do you use in raids to boost your performance?:

1000 int Flask and 300 int Food. Alchemist pots if I need mana, +4000 int pots if I'm denouncing (it helps, honest!)

Describe what you think you would bring to our guild if accepted. (raiding and social aspects):

I will provide a reliable healer who is always avaliable to raid and has a vast amount of experience with both raiding and healing. I am dedicated to maximising my character in all regards for whatever role I play, and this will be reflected in my performance.

As for social aspects, if anyone in the guild is into playing DotA 2 or LoL I enjoy playing those in groups too. I also like the sound of alt raids since I'm a total raidaholic and the more raiding the better.

-----------------------------------
Character History
-----------------------------------
Previous Guilds/Reasons for Leaving:

Started raiding as Holy Priest in Disbelievers of Faith in vanilla. We took the free migration to Magtheridon and merged with another guild to form Showtime. I cleared MC, Onyxia and BWL with this guild. At this point I took a break from WoW and later returned when AQ40 was released.

I started my own guild on the server Ahn'Qiraj (GUILD OF DOOM) as a protection warrior, and as this guild we cleared all content up to C'thun. Eventually the guild burnt out trying to down him and we attempted a failed merge with another guild on the server. Drama quickly imploded the guild and the members were scattered. Me and a few core members joined another guild on the server at the time Naxx40 was released, and we cleared 2/4 of the wings before getting stuck on loatheb when TBC was released.

In TBC we recreated our vanilla guild (GUILD OF DOOM) and began raiding again. Throughout TBC I levelled and started playing my Holy Paladin. We cleared all content up to M'uru which after 3 months of wipes burnt out all our core members and we took a raiding break until WotLK. Me and a few core members once again wanted to continue raiding sunwell and moved to another server (Lightning's Blade I believe?) where we killed M'uru finally and Kil'jaeden. When WotLK was released we explained to the guild we were going to return to Ahn'Qiraj to play with friends again.

At the release of WotLK we once again remade GUILD OF DOOM and cleared the first tier of content before once again members quit and I myself took a break from WoW. I returned during Ulduar to play with a friend of mine from Vanilla in his guild on sunstrider, Lemniscate. In this guild I played a rogue. It later moved to Magtheridon and with that guild I cleared all content apart from LK25HC.

When Cata was released my friend stopped playing, and with the release of 10man raiding we once again remade GUILD OF DOOM, this time on Emeriss. We had alot of success in cata and cleared all content at a fairly decent rate. I rerolled to a mage for Cata but I still played my holy paladin as an alt.

Finally in MoP we continued on emeriss with GUILD OF DOOM, and I returned to my holy paladin as my main. I have really enjoyed MoP so far and together we cleared 10/16HC, but emeriss has slowly died and now has something like 4-5 active raiding guilds. My core members have been slowly leaving and replacing them has become near impossible. Sadly I have lost the will to keep pushing raids that keep getting cancelled so I called it a day and have decided to look elsewhere to continue my MoP raiding.

When did you start this character and how long have you /played?:

This paladin specifically is not my original paladin. My first paladin I started in TBC, but I levelled this one in WotLK while playing on magtheridon with my friend. I missed playing paladin and did not want to migrate my original one.

/played is - 61 days 11 hours.

What encounters and raids have you experienced in Mists of Pandaria? Please state if it was on 10man or 25man and was it normal or heroic:

10/16HC on 10man. My 25man experience is limited to a pug that cleared 3/6 MSV normal, so not much. 10man HC includes 6/6 MSV 4/6 HoF (vizier, blade lord, garalon, wind lord).

And ofc 16/16 normal 10man.

What previous raid experience (Vanilla, TBC, WoLK, Cata) do you have on this char? Please only mention stuff you did at the time when it was a current raid, we dont need to know you can clear black temple when you are level 90.

On this character specifically I have only raided a little in WotLK, and healed as an alt in cata before raiding as main in MoP. As a holy paladin in general I raided full TBC content. (Although I mostly tanked M'uru and Kil'jaeden).

What do you think YOUR responsibilities are in a raid? :

As a healer it's easy to just say "keep everyone alive!", but I am a strong believer that everyone in the raid should be clear of their job on any given fight and concentrate purely on their role. Confusion often happens when people watch others and forget their own jobs. Total focus on what one is doing is key in raiding.

But as for actual responsibilities; sticking to healing assignments and keeping them alive, avoiding the bad fire, standing in the good fire (shiny hammer = good), keeping consumable useage to a maximum and generally not afking or tabbing out between every wipe.

Give a original answer here, saying to buff and dps/heal/tank isn't really worth mentioning

What is your Spell Rotation ?

Healing is more about reacting than a specific rotation but in a sense holy paladins are limited by holy power into somewhat of a rotation. Key points are - using holy shock on cd, dumping holy power before hitting 5. That's the basics. Holy light spam for periods of low damage, divine light on beaconed target if it won't overheal for additional HP. Maintaining eternal flame on as many non-beaconed targets as possible if the fight allows, otherwise using LoD for aoeing healing. Holy radiance I believe is vastly underrated and a great way to get extra HP in high-mana situations. I didn't really mention tier 3 talents as they vary per encounter and are somewhat situational, but holy prism on boss for minor aoe heals or on a tank if a quick heal is needed. Light's hammer to cheese the healing.

Why have you chosen to reforge, gem and enchant the way you have? Give a brief description on why particular stats are good for your class/spec.

Enchants are all pretty straightfoward, I feel in MoP enchanting choices are somewhat limited. My gemming theory as a healer is - there isn't really a useless stat and therefore it is always worth gemming for socket bonuses. This seems to have been pushed even more in MoP with socket bonuses being higher, so I am to socket depending on colour. My logic is 1 INT > 1 SPI but since you get double spirit on gems, I have socketed prioritising spirit (but use int flasks because 1000 > 1000). I am convinced spirit is always useful until you are absolutely never going oom, and in some situations mana can get abit tight. Secondarily with gems I focus on mastery for yellow hybrid colour gems, and int for red.

My reforging right now is somewhat questionable. For a long time since MoP came out I have been torn with the haste vs mastery debate. At the start of MoP the consenus was: haste = more throughput than mastery, but due to low mana situations in blue gear mastery is superior, and that seemed logical so I followed it. Once mana issues became less of a problem, I switched over to full haste. Since then I have yet to find any other paladin who has done so. Infact all paladin discussion on haste vs mastery seems to have vanished, and new paladins are immediately told mastery is the only way to go. I decided once I obtained my 4 set tier bonus and therefore got more holy shocks and hence more instant casts, I'd once again try out mastery and see how it felt. Due to awesome loot RNG however, I am still without 4 set.

If me using haste proves to be an issue, I am happy to reforge however. I believe my playstyle can fit either stat, I just enjoy have quick heals at my disposal.

Also Post a UI Screen Shot (this is so we know how you see what's around you)

-----------------------------------
General Information
-----------------------------------

Age: 26

Country: England

Why did you choose to apply to this guild in particular?

We were looking for a change to 25man raiding as I have missed the more epic feel. Kazzak is a decent realm and I also wanted to return to higher populated realms after playing on lower ones for the last few years. Looking through the guilds on Kazzak your guild suited our classes and had similiar progress to us, so we thought we'd give it a shot!

Players you know / How did you come across us?

Simply from browsing wowprogress, don't know anyone in the guild.

Alts and Level (if any):

90 Mage but it will likely remaining on emeriss for the time being.

Are you or any of your alts currently guilded?:

I am currently in my guild (GUILD OF DOOM) of which I am the GM but we have stopped raiding.

Did you read our Rules & Policies?

Yes.

What days can you play and what hours during those days (Please let us know now so no confusion is caused if you were to be accepted)?:

I can play anyday from more or less 17:00-18:00 server time. If any conflicts arise with my schedule and the raiding one, I am able to alert an officer weeks in advance (and these conflicts are very rare).

(Members are required to be available for raiding at least 3/5 nights week with higher attendance preferred.) Raid days are Sun-Thur, 2000-0000 server time we do occasionally stay later if we are close to a kill. Fri & Sat are off nights but if people are online we try to do alt runs or RBG's.

Previous online gaming experience (if any):

Been playing online games for near 15 years now. Started with games like Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2. Also lots of Starcraft. Played many FPS in my time and spent a lot of time with mobas such as HoN, LoL and DotA. WoW has been my only MMO and I have been playing it since the closed beta until the current day.

Anything else you'd like to include about yourself:

Most of my time in WoW has been as a GM or raidleader, and I believe in totally dedicating oneself to raiding in whatever group I'm in. I have been studying at University for the last year and a half but I don't allow it to interefere with raiding (priorities right?!).
